On This Day, August 16, 2018, Darren Bravo produced a batting masterclass for Trinbago Knight Riders against the St Lucia Stars in the CPL. His blistering 94 came off just 36 deliveries, a knock that stands tall as the finest T20 innings recorded on this date.
That fixture proved a run-fest all round. Bravo had solid support from Brendon McCullum, who struck 68 from 42 balls, while the Stars offered stiff resistance through David Warner's 72 off 55 and Kieron Pollard's explosive 65 from just 23 deliveries.
Among the bowlers, Krishmar Santokie set the benchmark, claiming 3 for 19 for Guyana Amazon Warriors against the Barbados Royals in 2014. More recently, in 2023, Imad Wasim took 3 for 27 for Jamaica Tallawahs against the St Lucia Kings.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
