15 August in cricket
15 August
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day, August 15 has belonged to Andre Fletcher in the Caribbean Premier League. In 2017, the West Indian opener lit up the tournament with a superb 84 off 53 balls for St Lucia Stars against the Jamaica Tallawahs — the standout knock of the date. It wasn't a one-off, either: back in 2013 Fletcher struck 76 from 53 for St Lucia Zouks against the Antigua Hawksbills, and in 2025 he was at it again with 60 off 41 for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
The day also produced Ben McDermott's brisk 75 off 39 for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2025. With the ball, Tabraiz Shamsi's remarkable 4 for 20 for Galle Titans against Colombo Strikers in the 2023 LPL topped the bowling honours.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
