26 July in cricket
26 July
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On this day in 2019, Meg Lanning produced one of the great T20I innings, smashing an unbeaten 133 from just 63 balls for Australia against England. It remains a benchmark of destructive brilliance from one of the game's finest, a knock that towers over every other batting performance recorded on July 26.
The date has hosted plenty of fireworks elsewhere. In 2014, Dwayne Smith blazed 104 off 67 for Barbados Royals against Guyana Amazon Warriors, while a decade later Finn Allen brought up an MLC hundred, 101 from 53, for San Francisco Unicorns against Texas Super Kings.
With the ball, Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal shone in 2024, claiming 4 for 16 against Sri Lanka, matching Kevin O'Brien's 4 for 22 for Trinbago Knight Riders back in 2014.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
