25 July in cricket
25 July
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day, Heinrich Klaasen produced a spectacular exhibition of power-hitting for the Seattle Orcas against MI New York in Major League Cricket in 2023. Klaasen blasted a stunning 110 off just 44 balls, a whirlwind century that lit up the tournament. In the same fixture, MI New York's Nicholas Pooran contributed a brisk 68 from 34 deliveries, while Trent Boult starred with the ball for MI New York, claiming 4 wickets for 31 runs.
The date also delivered dramatic T20I fireworks in 2025, when Australia's Tim David smashed 102 off 37 balls against West Indies. Not to be outdone, West Indies' Shai Hope answered with 102 off 57 in the same contest.
Rachin Ravindra's remarkable 4 for 11 in 2024 rounds off a memorable date.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
