29 June
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day in 2025, Faf du Plessis lit up Major League Cricket with a magnificent 103 off just 53 balls for Texas Super Kings against MI New York. The blistering century anchored a contest also marked by Kieron Pollard's punchy 70 from 39 deliveries for MI New York, while Akeal Hosein's 3 for 15 underlined Texas's all-round quality.
The date carries plenty of international history too. In 2024, Virat Kohli crafted a measured 76 off 59 against South Africa, with Hardik Pandya chipping in three wickets. Back in 2021, Quinton de Kock's 72 from 51 was overshadowed by Obed McCoy's stunning 4 for 22 for West Indies. In 2018, KL Rahul's 70 off 36 against Ireland was supported by spin from Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
