28 June in cricket

28 June

Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.

On this day in 2025, Smriti Mandhana lit up the T20I stage with a magnificent 112 off just 62 balls for India against England. It was a commanding century that underlined her status as one of the format's most destructive openers, and it headlines a date rich with memorable performances.

Mandhana wasn't the only Indian star to shine on June 28, 2025. Shree Charani delivered a superb spell of 4 for 12 against England, complementing the batting brilliance to make it a day to remember for India.

The date has produced other gems too. Back in 2022, Deepak Hooda struck 104 off 57 against Ireland, while Chris Gayle blasted 90 from 36 balls for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2015 CPL.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾

Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.

Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.

Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.

Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.

"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
