27 June in cricket
27 June
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On this day in 2025, Nicolas Pooran lit up Major League Cricket with a blistering 108 off just 60 balls for MI New York against the Seattle Orcas. His century anchored an innings that also featured a furious cameo from Tajinder Singh, who smashed 95 from only 35 deliveries, making the New York total a daunting one.
Seattle nearly produced a hero of their own, with Shimron Hetmyer launching a counterattack of 97 from 40 balls against MI New York, though it ultimately fell agonisingly short of three figures.
This date also belongs to Kuldeep Yadav, whose two standout T20I displays stand out: 4 for 21 against Ireland in 2018, and 3 for 19 against England in 2024, underlining his enduring mastery in the format.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
