22 June
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day, June 22, Mitchell Owen produced an all-round masterclass for Washington Freedom against Texas Super Kings in the 2025 MLC. The dynamic talent blazed 89 from just 52 balls with the bat, then returned to claim 3 for 33 with the ball, stamping his authority on both disciplines in a single fixture.
Owen wasn't alone in lighting up that contest. Andries Gous chipped in with a brisk 80 off 45 for the Freedom, while Faf du Plessis countered for the Super Kings with a rapid 69 from 31 deliveries.
The same date also belonged to spinners and quicks across formats. Kuldeep Yadav's tidy 3 for 19 against Bangladesh in a 2024 T20I, and Unmukt Chand's 86 for the LA Knight Riders, round out a memorable June 22.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 24 October 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
