14 June in cricket
14 June
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day, June 14 served up one of T20 cricket's most explosive knocks. In 2025, Jake Fraser-McGurk tore into the Los Angeles Knight Riders, smashing 88 off just 38 balls for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket — a blistering display of clean hitting. It was a fine day for the Unicorns all round, with Xavier Bartlett (4-28) and Haris Rauf (4-41) sharing the bowling spoils against the same opposition.
The date also belongs to PSL fireworks from 2021, when Colin Munro matched that 88, his coming off 56 balls for Islamabad United against Karachi Kings, with Babar Azam (81) and Najibullah Zadran (71) responding. Back in 2009, Alex Cusack's 4-18 for Ireland against Sri Lanka stands tall among the bowling efforts.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 2 November 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
