Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day, October 21, 2017, Afy Fletcher produced a spell for the ages, ripping through Sri Lanka with figures of 5 for 13 for the West Indies. The leg-spinner's devastating effort remains one of the standout bowling performances in women's T20 international cricket.
The date has also belonged to batters in the Women's Big Bash League. In 2023, Katie Mack lit up the competition with a superb 86 off just 50 balls for the Adelaide Strikers against the Melbourne Stars, in a match where Megan Schutt (3-3) and Amanda-Jade Wellington (3-4) proved miserly with the ball.
A year earlier, Erin Burns struck 71 from 38 for the Sydney Sixers, while Paul Stirling's 66 led Ireland against the West Indies in 2022.
