13 October
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day in 2022, a Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I served up a trio of half-centuries. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with 69 off 56 balls, while Bangladesh's reply was anchored by two blazing knocks of their own: Litton Das struck 69 from just 42 deliveries, matched in spirit by Shakib Al Hasan's 68 off 42.
The same date also belongs to the bowlers. Back in 2008, Sri Lanka's Ajantha Mendis bamboozled Pakistan with 3 for 23, while in 2011 Pat Cummins claimed 3 for 25 for Australia against South Africa.
More recently, Nashra Sandhu's 3 for 17 led Pakistan against Sri Lanka in 2022, and West Indies' Brandon King lit up 2024 with a rapid 63 off 33 against Sri Lanka.
