On this day in 2020, Lendl Simmons produced a commanding display for Trinbago Knight Riders against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL. The opener struck 96 from 63 balls, anchoring the innings with an assured knock that stood out among a host of memorable performances on this date.
Simmons had ideal support from Sikandar Raza, whose 3 for 15 helped keep the same Patriots side in check. Elsewhere, Rovman Powell's blazing 84 from just 40 balls for the Jamaica Tallawahs in 2018 remains one of the more explosive innings recorded on this day.
Among the bowlers, Ireland's Mark Adair claimed 4 for 23 against Zimbabwe in a 2021 T20I, while Alzarri Joseph's tidy 3 for 7 in 2023 underlined a date rich in all-round quality.
