12 June in cricket
12 June
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On this day in 2025, Finn Allen produced a stunning exhibition of power hitting in Major League Cricket, blasting 151 off just 51 balls for the San Francisco Unicorns against the Washington Freedom. It stands as one of the most explosive innings in T20 history, a relentless display from the New Zealand opener.
Allen's masterclass headlines a date packed with memorable knocks. Back in 2018, Sarfraz Ahmed struck a brisk 89 off 49 balls for Pakistan against Scotland, while Heinrich Klaasen smashed 81 from 46 deliveries for South Africa against India in 2022.
With the ball, June 12 belongs to Kenya's Shem Wetoto, whose remarkable 6 for 16 against Namibia in 2021 remains the standout bowling performance on this date.

Coverage & definitionsCricsheet ball-by-ball · matches played on this date (UTC) · data through 2 November 2026Show ▾
Source. Ball-by-ball data from Cricsheet. New matches are loaded from Cricsheet twice a day (10:00 and 22:00 UTC), typically a day or two after a match is published there.
Internationals. T20 internationals are included only when both teams are ICC full members. Fixtures against Associate nations (e.g. Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, USA) are not in the dataset, so international totals for players who faced them are lower than their full career figures. Afghanistan men's internationals are absent for a different reason: Cricsheet has withheld every match involving the Afghanistan men's team since 14 November 2024, so none of them can be loaded. Every full member's totals are lower by the matches they played against Afghanistan, and Afghanistan men's players do not appear at all. Afghanistan women's matches are unaffected.
Leagues. Leagues: IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, SA20, MLC, ILT20, BPL, LPL, WBBL, WPL — full history of each. Domestic T20 competitions outside this list (e.g. the Blast, SMAT, Super Smash) are not included.
Exclusions. Super overs are excluded from every total. A match abandoned without a ball bowled has no ball-by-ball file and is not in the dataset, even where a toss took place and official records credit the named players with an appearance. M can therefore sit one or two below a player's official career figure. Match appearances (M) come from the playing XI in each match file, so a match where a player neither batted nor bowled still counts as an appearance. Where M is missing, that player's appearances have not been loaded yet.
"Best" innings and spells are ranked by runs and by wickets then runs conceded; a quiet date here is only quiet within this dataset.
