25 October
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day in 2020, Ben Stokes lit up the IPL with a sparkling 107 off 60 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians. The all-rounder's century stood out among a packed day of memorable T20 displays, underlining his big-match pedigree.
The same evening offered contrasting fireworks as Hardik Pandya smashed 60 off just 21 balls for Mumbai Indians, facing Rajasthan Royals from the other side of that contest. Two years later, in 2022, Marcus Stoinis went even quicker, blazing 59 from only 18 deliveries for Australia against Sri Lanka in a T20I.
With the ball, Bangladesh's Nahida Akter produced the pick of the figures, claiming 5 for 8 against Pakistan in a 2023 T20I — a spell of remarkable control and penetration.
