30 September
Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On this day in 2022, Philip Salt lit up the England-Pakistan rivalry with a blistering 88 off just 41 balls, a knock brimming with intent against a formidable opponent. It stands as the standout batting performance recorded on September 30 in T20 history, underlining Salt's power at the top of the order.
Fittingly, the same fixture produced a magnificent response from Pakistan's Babar Azam, who crafted 87 from 59 deliveries to keep the contest alive. Two years earlier on this date, Stafanie Taylor delivered a bowling masterclass for the West Indies, taking 3 for 10 against South Africa in 2012.
The date has long belonged to India-Pakistan classics too, with Virat Kohli's 78 off 61 in 2012 and Lakshmipathy Balaji's 3 for 22 among the highlights.
