Dates follow UTC, the same clock as our daily posts.
On This Day in 2025, Philip Salt produced a masterclass for England against South Africa, blazing 141 from just 60 balls in a T20I innings for the ages. It stands as the standout knock of December 9 across T20 history, a devastating display at the top of the order.
Salt had able company that day, with Jos Buttler smashing 83 from only 30 deliveries against the same South African attack, giving England a fearsome one-two punch.
The date also belongs to Glenn Phillips, who hit 103 from 63 balls for the Jamaica Tallawahs against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2018 CPL. With the ball, Chris Green's three for nine for the Barbados Royals against Trinbago Knight Riders in 2025 was the pick of a tidy bowling day.
