The biggest run chases in women's T20

When it comes to the art of the women's T20 run chase, no innings has climbed higher than West Indies' remarkable pursuit of 213 against Australia at North Sydney Oval in 2023. That T20I stands alone at the summit of the biggest successful chases across the women's game, a target of staggering size hauled down in full.

The Women's Premier League dominates the list beneath it, underlining how high-scoring the competition has become. Royal Challengers Bengaluru alone appear three times, the most of any team. They chased 204 against Delhi Capitals at Kotambi Stadium in 2026, ran down 202 against Gujarat Giants at the same venue in 2025, and earlier gathered 189 against Gujarat Giants at the Brabourne Stadium in 2023.

Mumbai Indians feature twice, both times at the expense of Gujarat Giants, chasing 193 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in 2026 and 191 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in 2024. Gujarat Giants, it should be noted, were on the losing end of four of these great chases.

International cricket adds its own highlights. England chased 199 against India at the Brabourne Stadium in 2018, while South Africa successfully pursued 193 against India at The Wanderers in 2026, a figure matched exactly by Mumbai Indians in the same year.

The Women's Big Bash League also makes its mark. Hobart Hurricanes chased 189 against Perth Scorchers at Bellerive Oval in 2025, and Melbourne Renegades reeled in 186 against Adelaide Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval in 2024.

Across T20Is, the WPL and the WBBL, the pattern is clear: targets once thought unreachable are now routinely overhauled, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru leading the way as the chase masters of the women's game.
